Toni Bell from the strikingly flat lands of Columbus Ohio. I reflect a varied personality including strong ambition, and the qualities of generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness. I am also a well determined, stern, and vigorous individual, yet pleasantly very loving at heart. I encourage fighting for what you desire and believe in, and doing so through Spirituality because nothing great comes easy and through the Universe and Self, any and everything is possible.
I work full-time, I am the Vice Chair of Redefining Team, and I also have a couple of businesses which is motivated by my love for life and my community as I strive to become an outstanding and successful woman in today’s society. With the definitive goal of becoming a successful business owner and powerful influencer, I am currently President/Vice Chair within a Non Profit (Redefined), Owner/Founder, and Event Coordinator of Crowned Queen Promotions, Founder and Spiritual Motivator of The Infinite Circle a spiritual motivational group, and also I work Full Time in Corporate America all while being a mother of four beautiful boys.
Through my passion for my community, I have embraced the roll of Promoter for the Urban LGBT community. In doing so I have thrown many social events as well as networking events for LGBT business owners. I have also been a Spiritual Motivator for the past three years. Holding one on one sessions with individuals as well as group sessions, providing meditative and spiritual guidance to those who seek some spiritual and or self-healing.
Apart from the above, I have kept a license and keen interest in cosmetology and I enjoy writing poetry, art and most importantly spending time with my loved ones.
The belief in self is such a powerful motivation for me. Once a very lost individual who didn’t really love myself but gave all of my energy to others, I’ve always had a sense of my purpose being to help heal Human beings and this Planet. I look to the writings of those such as Gandhi, Dr. Sebi, and many other Spiritual Activist. Saving the Planet for my children’s future is also very important to me.
A quote from Gandhi sticks with me daily, “Where there is love there is Life” I’ve had to carry this belief with me throughout my life to get through the various experiences I’ve gone through. Having a parent addicted to drugs and alcohol, growing up without my mother, an unstructured upbringing, being adopted, going through domestic violence situations because I did not inhabit the self-love I needed to get away, excepting my sexuality as a lesbian woman, and ultimately losing my Father three years ago to Cancer.
I just work hard to break through the stereotypes that have been placed upon me and my children before birth and provide them with an influence and upbringing I did not get to see. Giving them the choice to know a more positive beautiful life and the benefits of working hard on your own success. I also want my community to see that we do not have to settle for what we’ve been taught. I believe in conditioning a mind and humans often get stuck in that conditioned mindset. It’s time to redefine who we are as individuals and as human beings.
Ikea Haralson is a Life Coach, a Communication Guru and the Founder of Words with Ke, LLC, and Human Resources Executive Officer for Redefining Empowerment Center Inc. and Redefined LLC. She obtained two bachelors’ degrees from Franklin University in Human Resource Management and Business Administration. Ikea began to have a passion for helping her peers in her teenage years. Ikea has always been called the “counselor” or the “confidant” by loved ones because of the words of wisdom she possesses. Growing up with a family full of men, Ikea realized a disconnect between the emotion and communication in men. She then grew a passion for wanting to understand why by listening to the men in her family and finding the missing link. Ikea knew at that moment she just wanted to help people to become spiritually, emotionally and mentally strong in all aspects of their lives.
In her early 20s, Ikea became a mentor for teenage girls. In addition to mentoring, Ikea provided shelter to young girls who were in unstable homes. She also created a safe haven by hosting “Ladies Night In” events for women of all ages to completely unwind and open up. Within this group, women were able to meet different women who may have gone through similar situations or experiences.
